Filipino Communities Council of Australia (FILCCA)

The Filipino Communities Council of Australia (FILCCA) is the national representative body of Filipinos in Australia, the fifth largest ethnic community in the country. Its key objectives are to advocate and promote the interests of all Filipino-Australians and Filipinos in Australia. They play a role in supporting local, state and territory councils in the promotion of Filipino heritage, culture and language and local and national efforts to advance the economic, cultural and social impact of Filipinos to the Australian community. FILCCA's working relationship and role as the key distribution and communication channel for information and consultation with the Philippine and Australian governments and other bodies, has supported the organisation of national efforts in education, trade, social and community services and fundraising activities
